Here is a glossary of some anatomical and medical terms that will be important to your understanding of OAB.
A simple definition of the terms and some related facts are provided.
Incontinence |
The unintentional loss of urine. It is the sudden strong urge to urinate that is hard to delay. |

Multiple |
A disease of the central nervous system. Patients may suffer numbness, weakness, loss of muscle coordination, and problems with vision, speech, and bladder control. |
Parkinson's |
A progressive neurological disease. Patients often have muscle weakness and difficulty in muscle coordination. Often diagnosed in older patients. |
Alzheimer's |
A progressive neurological disease of the brain that leads to impairment in memory and judgment. Often diagnosed in older patients. |
Stroke |
An interruption of the blood supply to any part of the brain and is sometimes called a 'brain attack'. |
